Mike Lewis is Superintendent Minister with pastoral responsibility for Trinity and Hall Street and is the Methodist Minister for St Augustine’s. Mike moved here from Luton but has served in various places across England. In the past Mike has led Alpha Groups, Walk to Emmaus and Disciple Bible Studies amongst other things.
Mike and his wife Pam who are both originally from Lincolnshire, enjoy theatre trips, going to the cinema and reading – and really love travelling. They have three grown up children and 4 young Grandchildren.
Sue King came to this Circuit from the Ipswich Circuit in September 2010, and she has pastoral charge of Maldon, Witham, South Woodham Ferrers and Hatfield Peverel churches. In her past, Sue worked as a teacher and also for Methodist Homes. She originally comes from the Midlands.
Beth Bendrey grew up on the south coast, and moved to west London to study at St Mary's College, Twickenham. Afterwards, she worked with adults with learning disabilities and then was Pastoral Assistant for six years at Holy Trinity, Hounslow, before leaving to train for the ministry at Westcott House, Cambridge. She was ordained deacon in 2006, and began her curacy with the Witham Team Ministry, being ordained priest the following year. In September 2009, she became priest-in-charge of Black Notley parish, involving two churches, the parish church of St Peter and St Paul and the Local Ecumenical Partnership in Great Notley.
Abe Konadu Yiadom is a Ghanaian-born British citizen, mother of Matthew and a ‘cut through Methodist’. She has a background in the voluntary and statutory sectors, working for organisations including Diabetes UK, the Citizen’s Advice Bureau and as Leysian Missioner (Lay Worker) at Wesley’s Chapel and Leysian Mission, City Road, London.
She’s an avid fan of Jane Austen, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, and she also enjoys watching comedy with Matthew.
